The TLT partners with Ireland’s Premier Stage School – Spotlight Stage School, to launch a brand new Performing Arts Academy in Drogheda.

The TLT is thrilled to announce a landmark partnership with Spotlight Stage School, marking the official arrival of Ireland’s premier stage school to the heart of Louth. Following extensive planning, The TLT is proud to join forces with Spotlight to provide a dedicated space where local children can master the craft of stage performance under the guidance of the country’s most experienced industry professionals.

For over 30 years, Spotlight Stage School has been a cornerstone of the community in Carlow and Navan. This expansion into The TLT marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time Spotlight has established a base within a world-class venue like The TLT.

Spotlight’s reputation for excellence is unparalleled. For the past 17 years, they have been the creative force behind the opening of The Late Late Toy Show, and for 21 consecutive years, they have captivated audiences on the 3Olympia Pantomime stage to widespread critical acclaim. Their commitment to the arts was further recognised last year when Spotlight received an award from Carlow Lord Mayor Fintan Phelan, acknowledging their outstanding work with young people and their immense contribution to the cultural landscape.

Spotlight Stage School offers comprehensive tuition in all aspects of song, dance and drama for children aged 3 to 18. Throughout its history, the school has produced some of the finest talent in the industry, with students regularly appearing in major productions on screen and on stage, both in Ireland and internationally.

With an exciting slate of projects on the horizon, including the upcoming Late Late Toy Show and the 3Olympia production of Cinderella, the Spotlight team is eager to kick off their new term this September in Carlow, Navan, and now at The TLT, Drogheda.

Registration and Class Details –

Classes will take place every Wednesday at The TLT. Students will be divided into the following age groups:

     3–6 years

    7–8 years

    9–11 years

     12 years and upwards

Specialised drama classes for students aged 7 and upwards will also be held on Wednesdays.
