Music Summer Camp for Children

Help your child explore the world of music by enrolling in our music Summer course.

It is designed for 4-7 year olds, to develop their sense of musicality. Children will be immersed in a fun musical experience, to educate and entertain.

Activities include:

 Work with percussion instruments
 Introduction to musical instruments
 Musical games
 Listening and responding to various types of music
 Exploring sounds
 Song singing
 Early musical literacy
 Stories encompassing musical elements
 Responding to music through dance, art, drama
 Concert at the end of week for children to perform what they have learned during the week

 Music and movement nourish the brain and help in all areas of development.
 Strengthens listening, motor skills, language and problem solving.
 Provides opportunities to practise social skills and increases self-esteem.
 Calms and focuses the mind.
 Children with a strong sense of beat are more likely to read well.
 Music stimulates the senses and children learn to recognise patterns and sequences.
 Singing games support children’s need to socialise and play.

Our music camp is run by experienced primary school teachers with music qualifications

When? July 11th – 15th
Time? Monday to Friday 10 am – 1 pm
Where? The TLT, East Coast Business Park, Drogheda
Cost? €60 (includes free admission to Friday’s concert)
What to bring? A packed lunch and drinks each day

A form must be filled in on the 1st morning of camp to provide us with contact details etc.
No refunds will be given for non-attendance.
Children under 4 will not be accepted under any circumstances.
